Illustrator Job Posting

GSI Illustrator/Meme Lord

Get your conscience off your back with a job designing a campaign to stop COVID-19. We're out here doing our best to help in these crazy times.

FILE UNDER: So Crazy It Just Might Work

Do you love CSI? Fake future technology? What about leaning towards your laptop and saying “computer, enhance”?

If you said yes to any of this, you’re deeply weird and possibly the perfect person to help us launch GSI: Germ Scene Investigation, a germ-awareness training game designed to help #stopthespread of COVID-19.

What does GSI do?

GSI turns any area into a Germ Scene. As a Germ Scene Investigator, players examine common areas like buses, banks and grocery stores, to find high-traffic surfaces where germs concentrate. GSI makes invisible germs easier to “see” by teaching you where they gather and quizzing you on important virus-related facts.

We created GSI as a FREE tool for essential services to help raise awareness of germ hotspots in their workplaces. We need an illustrator/designer/meme wizard to help create a campaign for GSI that will stand out amidst the noise of pandemic overload and news panic. The more people hear about GSI and start using it, the safer we’ll all be, and the sooner this will be over! Join us!

Why we made it

These are confusing and scary times.

  • We’re empowering people to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by arming them with practical knowledge about the virus they can apply wherever they are.

Germs are invisible and the concept of spreading them is abstract.

  • We created an easy way to make germs “visible” by identifying hotspots where they concentrate.

People aren’t adjusting their behaviour quickly enough to stop the outbreak.

  • Location-based learning is the fastest way to train new behaviour because it’s highly relevant and immediately applicable.

Knowledgeable with conventional design & prototype tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Balsamiq, etc.

Experienced, with 3 + years proven ability to deliver high quality, innovative, and shippable self-contained GUI element packages to FE devs; a diverse portfolio is a bonus!
